Facilities Management at Government Department
A Govt. Dept. was planning for a major IT initiative including VAT implementation and implementation of portal preceded. A prerequisite for all these was Data collection and Data consolidation.
Current situation was that they had Multi-vendor maintenance of IT Infrastructure. They were facing problems of down time of critical IT equipment, multi vendor co-ordination issues, and Consumables supply not timely. At the same time they were also looking at Reduction in Total Cost of Ownership and free Key IT-official from day to day co-ordination issues so that they have time to focus on new initiative. It was decided to award a facility management contract for upkeep of their IT -Infrastructure bound by clear Service Level Agreements with the service provider.
