HCL's drive for Customer Awareness

HCL`s Initiatives on Recycled Materials

As a part of HCL`s initiatives on recycled materials, HCL has adopted a stand to use recycled materials in all the areas applicable. To begin with, HCL has initiated measures to use recycled plastics in our products.

Plastics being one of the major component of the computer system in different forms and based on its recyclable properties HCL has initiated a drive among its suppliers to use recycled plastics and other recyclable material in all their manufacturing processes.

As a part of its Go-green campaign, HCL has also urged /encouraged its suppliers to

  • Quantify the amount of recycled materials in their products
  • Increase the use of recycled plastics in all the products

HCL is committed to increase the use of recycled plastics and is actively pursuing the cause by giving a timeline to its suppliers/vendors that 5% of all plastic requirements for HCL products be supplied in the form of recycled plastic by 31st December 2010.
