HCL Infosystems is the first Indian company to offer high availability solution for Oracle Database with Real Application Clusters
New Delhi, September 30, 2003 --Recording another first in the country, HCL Infosystems
Ltd., India's premier information enabling and integration company, has completed
the testing of its high availability solutions for Oracle Database with Real Application
Clusters (RAC). The high availability solution ensures that if a single node within
the Database cluster environment fails, the remaining nodes will continue to function
& provide continuous access of data to users. The HCL Infiniti Global Line
Servers and SAN Array storage system are the first and only Indian brands to have
achieved this feat.
HCL tested its high-end servers, HCL Infiniti Global Line based on Intel Xeon processors,
and the high-end storage based on fiber technology in the HCL labs. The Tested
Solution can be configured to scale for the multi-CPU server. The customer,
using the RAC feature, can create high-end multi CPU system for the Oracle database
with low cost HCL Infiniti Global Line four-way servers and multi Tera byte storage.
