HCL LAUNCHES 'NON-STOP SERIES' LEAPTOPS
IN PUNJAB
- Fastest Self-Healing Computers with
EC2 Technology-
Recovers complete PC data in less than a minute
Ludhiana, 18 May 2007: HCL Infosystems Limited, India's premier
information enabling and system Integration Company, launched its
new range of notebook computers featuring the revolutionary 'Embedded
Continuity & Control' (EC2) technology here today. Named the
'HCL Non Stop Series', the new EC2-enabled notebooks are
self-healing computers that are able to
recover all data in less
than a minute, in case of a system crash or accidental loss
of data by the user.
Speaking at the launch of HCL 'Non-stop series' PCs,
Mr. George
Paul, Executive Vice President, HCL Infosystems said, "HCL
is proud to introduce Non-Stop Series of Leaptops with EC2 technology,
which is a revolution in itself. Research has suggested that 95%
of all problems with PCs are software related and include accidental
deletion of critical data, corruption of various software or even
virus-related system crashes. HCL is therefore glad to offer this
global innovation as a tremendous value-addition to the buyers of
'Non-stop Series' of Leaptop notebooks. For anyone concerned with
safety of his data and uptime of PC, EC2-enabled Leaptops represent
the last word in a reliable and worry-free PC experience."
The launch of HCL 'Non Stop Series' notebooks was followed by the
'
HCL Mindia Conclave', a concept enunciated by HCL in 2004
dedicated to the prowess and accomplishments of the great '
Indian
Mind'. The Conclave salutes the appreciable contribution made
by Indians in all spheres of life across the globe. The conclave
manifests the basic feeling that binds all Indians together, that
of being "
Proud to be an Indian". The Mindia Conclave
Ludhiana was graced with the presence of eminent personalities like
Dr. S.K Salwan, Mr. V.K Goyal and Mr. M.C Munjal who shared their
insight about the intellectual leadership and achievements of the
great Indian mind.
Speaking
on the sidelines of HCL Mindia Conclave,
Mr. Ajai Chowdhry, Chairman
& CEO, HCL Infosystems said, "In over thirty years
of our operations, HCL has consistently introduced the latest and
innovative computing technology to users in India. Our innovation
in HCL EC2 technology and its introduction in Non-Stop Series Leaptops
proudly carries this strong legacy forward. HCL also recognizes
the needs of today's notebook users for reliable and trouble-free
computing experience and has therefore launched Non Stop Series
notebooks, which deliver unparalleled advantage of dependable and
world-class notebook computing performance."
HCL
has announced ready availability of 'Non-Stop Series' of Leaptops
all across major cities of Punjab. The range features several notebook
models with prices starting from Rs. 27,990/-
A laptop with EC2 technology automatically stores and updates a
complete image of its own working state at regular intervals. This
image is a complete record of all data, including software and user
data, residing inside the computer at any given point of time. In
case of a system crash, malfunction or accidental loss of data,
a user can simply reload the previously recorded image and thus
have the computer working exactly like it was when the image was
recorded. EC2 takes less than 60 seconds to reload the complete
image; therefore the computer never has a downtime of more than
a minute, no matter how grave the fault was.
